#1: Australia Day at Broadwater Parklands

Be part of the festivities at the Gold Coast’s 2022 Australia Day Celebrations on Wednesday 26 January 2022 at Broadwater Parklands, Southport. From 4pm to 730pm there’ll be:

  • An assortment of food trucks
  • Free kids activities
  • Fantastic fireworks finale!

#2: Australia Day Multicultural Celebration

This event will celebrate the Gold Coast’s Diverse Australians. Commencing with a Welcome to country by our first Nations people, the event will include up to 65 stalls on display and feature up to 185 International Performers, arts and crafts, Indigenous painting exhibitions, multicultural music, dancing, entertainers , food trucks and children’s activities followed by a fireworks display and illuminated floating world globe.

#3: Broadwater Fireworks

Catch the Australia Day free fireworks on Wednesday 26 January 2022 at the Broadwater Parklands Southport  at approximately 715pm, so make sure to plan in advance and give yourself enough time to be there on time and to pack your favourite picnic rug and/or outdoor chairs and find a place on the lawn to enjoy a wonderful afternoon of spectacular fireworks.

How to get there?

The easiest way to get to the Broadwater Parklands is to catch the G:Link in Surfers Paradise, metres away from your apartment when you are staying at the Chevron Renaissance, Circle on Cavill or the H Residences building on Surfers Paradise Boulevard.

If you are self driving, give yourself plenty of time to find parking as parking space can be limited. Park along Gold Coast Highway, Gold Coast Aquatic Centre or Australia Fair Shopping Centre.
