Holiday Holiday supports the accessible community in making informed travel decisions for their individual needs. Holiday Holiday’s select wheelchair friendly room features include large wheel chair accessible roll-in showers, hand rails in showers and toilets, ramp to the balcony, optimally positioned furniture in the apartment, etc. All of Holiday Holiday’s wheelchair friendly accessible rooms on the Gold Coast has stunning ocean view and are located in the heart of Surfers Paradise above supermarkets and shopping centres. It is only a short distance to the beach and there is easy ramp and lift access to all public transport and facilities.
Select rooms have been renovated to meet accessibility requirements:
- Ample space around bedroom furniture for ease of navigation
- Separate bedroom and bathroom for carer/s
- Wardrobe with low hanging rails
- Clear path through the room
- Clear door opening space of at least 850mm wide
- Sofa/chair in room with rigid arms
- 130mm clearance under bed for hoist access
- Handrails fitted in bathroom
- Roll-in shower in bathroom
- Portable shower head on flexible hose in bathroom
- Ramp to the balcony
- Shower chair and shower commode available for hire
