With the easing of the government’s coronavirus restrictions, Holiday Holiday team is excited to announce the reopening of swimming pools at some resorts. Swimming pools are open at H-Residences building located above Hilton Surfers Paradise from 16 May 2020 but the indoor pool is out for repairs between 4 to 7 September 2020 inclusive. As at 12 June 2020, swimming pools are open at Circle on Cavill. As at 12 June 2020, swimming pool are open at Sun City Resort in Surfers Paradise. As at 3 July 2020, outdoor lagoon swimming pool and spa are open at Chevron Renaissance resort. As at 7 August 2020, indoor swimming pool is open at Chevron Renaissance.

The Queensland Government has released its roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions. Stage 1, commencing on 15 May 2020 from 11.59pm includes a number of relaxations that affect Bodies Corporate and the use of common property facilities.

H-Residences Swimming Pools Open

From Saturday 16 May 2020, the indoor pool and outdoor pools are open at the H-Residences except for the indoor pool will be closed for repairs between 4 – 7 September 2020 inclusive.

Certain restrictions still apply such as:

  • No more than 10 individuals OR no more than 1 person per 4 square metres whichever is the lesser;
  • The use of the pool is at your own risk;
  • All pool users to shower before use;
  • In the event you feel unwell please leave the communal areas;
  • Users to sit on their own towels;
  • Users to wipe sweat with a disposable paper towel, dispose of it correctly AND wash hands after.

H-Residences Indoor Pool Open (except 4 – 7 September)

The H-Residences indoor swimming pool is located on level 1 of the Hilton Surfers Paradise between towers 1 and 2, respectively known as Boulevard Tower and Orchid Tower. Guests will often find families with young children in the indoor swimming pool as it is heated to a very comfortable temperature of approximately 26 degrees Celsius. The Hilton Surfers Paradise indoor swimming pool is approximately 15 metres long and is a salted pool. The indoor heated pool is popular all year round, be it in summer or winter.

NB: The indoor pool will be closed for repairs between 4 – 7 September 2020 inclusive.

H-Residences Outdoor Pool Open

The outdoor swimming pool is located on the same level as the indoor heated swimming pool. The outdoor lap pool is around 20 metres long and has two swimmers lap in it.

Barbeque Facilities Open

From 16 May 2020, BBQ areas are open however, the use of these areas must be restricted to no more than 10 individuals or no more than one person per 4 square metres, whichever is the lesser.

The main barbeque area is located outside resident’s gym on level 1 of Hilton Surfers Paradise building. There are two main electric barbeques for use and is available to all guests on a first come first served basis.

Circle on Cavill Swimming Pools Open

From 12 June 2020, Circle on Cavill swimming facilities are open.

Circle on Cavill indoor pool open

Indoor pool for Circle on Cavill located on level 3 of the North Tower is open and newly renovated. Water is kept warm and a swimmer’s lane is available for use.

Circle on Cavill outdoor pools open

Circle on Cavill outdoor pools located on level 3 of the North Tower and level 4 of the South Tower are both now open for guest use. Spa on level 24 of the South Tower is also open and restricted to 4 persons per square metre.

Sun City Swimming Pools Open

As at 12 June 2020, the indoor pool and outdoor pool are open at Sun City Resort Surfers Paradise building.

Chevron Renaissance

Chevron Renaissance Lagoon Pool and Spa Open

As at 3 July 2020, the sandy lagoon pool and spa at Chevron Renaissance resort are open, subject to restrictions on the number of persons that can  be present in the facilities.

Chevron Renaissance Indoor Pool Open

As at 7 August 2020, the indoor swimming pool is open at Chevron Renaissance building.

Social Distancing

Social distancing remains the cornerstone of the COVID-19 response. This means keeping your distance from people when using the common property and services such as hallways, stairs and lifts as applicable to your property, avoid non-essential large groups and work from home where possible.

All gyms will remain closed until stage 2, anticipated to begin Friday 12 June 2020.
