Meet the Dolphin at Sea World Gold Coast
We have had many Gold Coast holiday makers asking us to recommend an unforgettable time on the Gold Coast. One of the best and most memorable time we have had on the Gold Coast was to join the Seaworld animal adventure with dolphins! Here are two events that will make you fall in love more with dolphins:
#1: Affinity Dolphin Presentation:
If you love dolphins, you must visit Seaworld and catch the Affinity Dolphin presentation. The Affinity Dolphin presentation is probably one of the best shows in Seaworld and is unmissable when you visit Seaworld in Main Beach.
Watch the dolphins perform and see the interaction and close relationship between dolphins and trainers.
Pick up a performance schedule at the entry door and plan your day at Seaworld. Performances are held every day at 11.15am and 3.30pm at Dolphin Beach.
We won’t spoil the surprise but keep an eye on these majestic creatures as they glide through the water.
#2: Meet The Dolphin:
We took three children aged 5, 7 and 8 to join the “Meet the Dolphin” program. This Seaworld animal adventure with dolphins is a land-based animal adventure which means the kids don’t have to get in the water, and only their feet from ankle down will get wet.
We started with the trainer putting on life jackets on the children, because safety should always come first. The children then stepped onto a 60cm underwater platform and the trainer gave some simple safety instructions. You could feel the excitement building in the air with the children when the dolphin swam past.
The highlight of the program was when the children got to touch and feel the dolphin, at one stage even holding its fin as if offering a hand shake.
The children got to signal to the dolphin as if the children were dolphin trainers themselves, even rewarding and feeding the dolphin when it followed a command.
The sight was amazing as the children got up close and personal with these magnificent animals. Meet the Dolphin took around 30 minutes and each participant got to interact with the dolphin.
As these children were over 5 years old, we did not need to accompany them. We ended up taking lots of photos and videos of the children’s interaction with the dolphin. Mind you, we did wish we were on the platform with them, and getting a chance to get up close and personal with the dolphin too.
The Seaworld team did a great job of recording the children’s adventure time with the dolphin. We bought lots of photos and a video of the children having a great time at Seaworld animal adventure with dolphins.

Eligibility:
- Only children 4 years or over may attend;
- Children must be over 102cm to join;
- Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult;
- There are no complimentary programs for guardians;
- Participants must be able to speak and/or understand English;
- Guests are not permitted to wear any ARM/LEG jewellery;
- Maximum of 12 participants per program;
