Supanova Comic Con Gold Coast
Supanova Comic Con & Gaming is Australia’s biggest and best pop culture convention, showcasing anything you can imagine, from film, television, comic books, gaming, sci-fi, fantasy and more! Supanova Comic Con Gold Coast will be held on 13 and 14 March 2020 at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach.
Supanova is the perfect all-ages event with a festival feel, that includes ‘cosplay’ (costume-role play), fan clubs, musical performances, creative master classes, wrestling, gaming tournaments, competitions, celebrity Q&A panels, and an exhibitor hall full of shopping possibilities. Catch your favourite Supa-Star celebrities and book an autograph or a photo session for keepsake.

#1. Cosplay Dash!
‘Cosplay’ is derived from the words ‘costume’ and ‘play’. It refers to an extraordinarily creative pastime wherein amazing individuals don the outfits of their favourite characters and bring them to life at events and photoshoots around the world.Supanova Cosplay Dash is an exciting new mini-event for beginner cosplayers that will run on Friday night at the Gold Coast 2020 event. This new event is perfect for beginner cosplayers or simply for those who just want to show off their costume on a stage. Winners will be selected for best costume on the day.
#2. Supanova Cosplay Odyssey
The Supanova Cosplay Odyssey is Supanova’s own advanced national cosplay competition, where you have the chance to share in $15,000 worth of prizes. The Odyssey will be held on the Sunday of each of the six Supanova events around the country, in search of each city’s Cosplay Hero. Aside from winning a phenomenal cash prize, each of these Cosplay Heroes will then have a chance to be named the final overall winner – our Odyssey Hero, who will be able to continue their cosplay journey all the way to the United States for Dragon Con 2020.
#3. Photo Opportunity and Autographs
Some of the biggest names of celebrities will be making the way to the Supanova Comic Con Gold Coast so what better way to get up close and personal to your favourite celebrities than a photo opportunity and autographs.

#5. Make Your Own Comic Workshop
Have you ever wanted to make your own comic book? Do you love drawing and telling stories? Like the idea of entertaining people with your ideas? Make a mini comic with Supa-Stars Cameron Davis and Morrigan Moore!
Covering everything from story development to pencilling and inking, this hands-on workshop is the perfect opportunity for younger comic book fans to develop their skills and learn from experienced artists.

#7: Gold Coast Superhero Weekend
Come to Broadbeach for a Gold Coast Superhero Weekend. There’ll also be a whole stack of costumed characters to meet, greet, and get a photo with throughout the day, from Nickelodeon, Disney, Marvel and more, plus our friends at Mountain Dew will be on-hand throughout the afternoon to help everyone cool down from the scorching Gold Coast sun, and remember to keep those Supanova Wristbands on for bonuses throughout the day!

#8: Pop & Play
Get set for a Supa-Charged day of esports and Asian pop culture, as HOTA, Home of the Arts puts on a massive festival of live music, esports challenges, special guests, food markets, and more!
Pop & Play goes off from 12:30pm – 5:30pm, with The Lyrical from the Game Train Podcast hosting the festivities, and Event DJ YEO dropping the best tunes, it’s an afternoon of non-stop fun, and it’s FREE for those wearing a Supanova Wristband!
