The Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is a three-day event featuring heart-pumping aerobatic displays, low level flyovers and breathtaking stunts by the world’s finest aviators and performers. And it’s all here on our doorstep, right in the heart of Surfers Paradise!
This will be the first year of a guaranteed 5 year commitment to showcase the event on our shoreline. We are expecting over 10k people within our event precinct each day with many more to be in the Surfers Paradise area.
The event will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 18 – 20 August 2023 with the show running from approximately 10am – 4pm each day.
The event precinct is a ticketed area which will be clearly identifiable by signage and fencing. The event precinct will run from Eileen Peters Park through to Elkhorn Avenue. There will be no public access to this section of the beach whilst the Show is running.

Throughout the event build and over the event weekend, there will be changes to the traffic conditions in Surfers Paradise:-
The Esplanade will be CLOSED in both directions from the Hanlan St roundabout through to the Peppers Soul roundabout. Clearly signed diversions will be in place. Access to the Soul Building will remain at all times.
The SOUTHBOUND lane of the Esplanade will also be CLOSED from Hanlan St to Clifford St. Local access to ONE Apartments will be maintained at all times.
There will be a number of changes to parking to accommodate traffic movement. These will be clearly signed.
The Esplanade will be CLOSED in both directions from the Soul roundabout through to Clifford Street. Local access only from View Avenue – Peppers Soul roundabout
To allow for safe pedestrian egress, the Queensland Police Service (QPS) will restrict vehicle movement approximately 2:30pm – 3:30pm in the following streets:-
Pedestrian thoroughfare will be maintained along the Esplanade throughout the event construction and deconstruction phase with clear signage in place to identify any changes.
The pedestrian path will be detoured to the closed road at times to ensure a designated pedestrian and bike pathway.
The access to Surfers Paradise beach during the event construction phase will be maintained and clearly signed. Please refer to the on site signage for clear directions.
Pedestrian thoroughfare will be maintained along the outside of the event precinct via the closed road.
On event days, beach access within the Event Precinct will be restricted to those with tickets. The beach will be accessible via Trickett Street in the south and Elkhorn Avenue to the north.
An exclusion zone will be in effect whereby access to water in this area will be prohibited during the following dates and times:-

Due to the number of boats expected to view the show from outside the exclusion zone, boat ramps and waterways will be busy with delays expected.
Drones are strictly prohibited within a 8km radius of the show centre – on Surfers Paradise beach.
