The 40th Annual Gold Coast Marathon is on this Saturday the 30th of June and Sunday the 1st of July, and the event is on track to be the biggest marathon we’ve seen yet! Following the hype of the Commonwealth Games, the Gold Coast Marathon has received unprecedented interest with over 25,000 participants of all ages and abilities from over 50 countries.
The Gold Coast Marathon will run alongside the Gold Coast’s beautiful beaches and stunning broadwater, the iconic course has put us on the map as one of the most prestigious marathons’ in the world. With 8 different races across the weekend, there’s something for everyone, from the 42km Gold Coast Marathon to the 5.7km fun run.
Prefer to spectate? We don’t blame you! There’s plenty of viewing options along the course including right in the heart of Surfers Paradise as the participants make their way down The Esplanade, along the beachfront. Our Holiday Holiday guests may even be able to catch a glimpse from their ocean view apartments, with the best view from the Soul Resort.
A note to our guests, The Esplanade will be closed on Sunday the 1st of July from 3.30am-12pm, this means there is no driving access to and from the Soul Resort during this period.
