Shen Yun Performing Arts is a performing-arts and entertainment company formed in New York City. It performs classical Chinese dance, ethnic and folk dance, and story-based dance, with orchestral accompaniment and solo performers. Colourful and vibrant, the performance will transport you to experience the glorious culture of ancient China.

Gold Coast arts and culture events 2: Storytime Ballet – The Sleeping Beauty

(13 January 2018)

The Storytime Ballet – The Sleeping Beauty is a story of magical fairies and beautiful princess in glittering tutus, storybook characters, a prince going on an adventure – choreography by Marius Petipa to infamous Tchaikovsky score.
If you know of any little girls who dream of becoming a princess or a ballerina, this event is perfect for them. They are invited to dress up in their favourite ballet-inspired costume to come to this magical event by Australian Ballet.

Gold Coast arts and culture events 3: National Theatre Live: Peter Pan

(20 December 2017 – 17 January 2018)

National Theatre Live: Peter Pan is an invitation from fairies, pirates, mermaids, Native Americans from Neverland to both grown up and those who refuse to grow up.
Captured live at the National Theatre, a recorded performance of JM Barrie’s much-loved tale screens in cinemas.

Gold Coast arts and culture events 4: Triple Vision Art Exhibition at Robina Community Centre Gallery

(21 December 2017 – 14 January 2018)

Three dedicated Gold Coast artists Otto Schmidinger, Steve Hillier and Susan Skuse are putting together their diverse approaches and interests to produce a varied exhibition encompassing the genres of landscape, figurative, abstract and wildlife painting to create Triple Vision Art Exhibition at Robina Community Centre Gallery. Each artist will be exhibiting a number of exciting new works as well as some smaller accessible pieces. Free admission at Robina Community Centre Gallery.
