The Gold Coast is beautiful all year-round, but we’ve discovered 6 reasons to visit Gold Coast in April – do not miss #5!

#1. The Weather:

One of the best times for the most perfect weather on the Gold Coast is in April. With a temperature range of 17-25 degrees (63-79 Fahrenheit), April on the Gold Coast is starting to cool down from a long hot summer.

You can expect mostly clear blue skies in April with the occasional day of rain, but these are few and far in between. In April on the Gold Coast, sunrise is normally around 6am and sunsets around 5.30pm. This brings beautifully warm days and cool evenings.

In April the ocean water is pleasantly warm, it’s the perfect month to head to the beach for a swim or participate in water activities like jet skiing or boating. The Gold Coast is home to over 70 km of golden beaches, plenty of space to find your own slice of golden sand paradise.

#2. What to pack:

Packing for your Gold Coast holiday is exciting, it means you’re nearly on holiday! Good news, you’ll only need to pack light. We would recommend you bring all your things for a warm beach holiday, and a few items to keep you warm in the evenings. If you are from the tropical countries, bring a light jacket with you to keep you just that couple of degrees warmer. Scarves and gloves are probably an overkill during April on the Gold Coast.

You will need your swimmers to enjoy the beautiful Gold Coast beach, a hat to protect you from the sunshine and some warm comfortable clothes you can change into come bed time. Are you coming for a special occasion? If so, bring a nice pair of evening clothes to wear out along with a jacket – there’s plenty of beautiful restaurants and night life in the area!

#3. Easter Holidays:

April on the Gold Coast is a busy time due to the Easter school holidays, whilst this means big crowds and full occupancy – it also means you will have plenty of time off work! If you aren’t a fan of crowds and would prefer a quieter time to come, we would recommend booking the first two weeks of April for your Gold Coast holiday. Easter holidays mean Easter egg hunts so get your basket ready!

#4. Plenty to do:

There’s plenty to do on the Gold Coast, we are nicknamed Australia’s playground for a good reason. Visiting Burleigh Heads should be on the itinerary for families and couples alike, if you have time we would also recommend visiting SeaWorld and then heading out to a beautiful dinner.

More of a kick back and relax on your holiday type person? We don’t blame you, start your day slowly with breakfast in your self-contained apartment, head down to the pool at your Gold Coast resort and maybe even treat yourself to a pampa day at the spa.
