Q1 Surfers paradise
Q1 Tower is the highest residential tower in the southern hemisphere. It is nearly 80 storeys high and all apartments are serviced by high speed lifts. There is a great selection of extra large 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartments in the Q1.
Q1 was completed around October 2005. It has a beautiful open plan large reception with reflection pool and water feature in the lobby.
Q1 is located at 9 Hamilton Avenue, Surfers Paradise. It borders the Esplanade, Hamilton Avenue, Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Trickett St, and is a block from the beachfront of Surfers Paradise. Q1 takes up nearly the whole block but for the northeast corner of the block, which houses the Carlton Hotel.
Q1 is famous for its sleek glass look. The balcony is encloseable, ie the balcony has windows that slide up and down, thereby giving you security while on the balcony, use of the balcony if it is raining and protection from rain and wind in this skyscraper.
Smoking is not allowed in the Q1 due to its encloseable balcony.
Directly behind the reception area is the lift area. Guests and residents staying on levels 42 and below are serviced by 4 high speed lifts. Guests from levels 41 to the penthouse are serviced by 3 other high speed lifts. A service lift is available for guests to move furniture up and down the building.
Observation Level - Skydeck
On the top of Q1 is the observation deck, currently known as Skydeck. The entrance to the Skydeck is located along Surfers Paradise Boulevard so make sure you head to the other side of the building to access the Skydeck.
